It’s safe to say that I stumbled upon this career by accident. Well, kind of. Growing up, my parents were grooming me for a career in performing arts as a singer and entertainer. Somewhere along the line, I thought I should do something “practical” like get a college education in the field of hospitality. After all, isn’t that what we all do here in Las Vegas? Fast forward about five years and in 2007, I opened up Green Orchid Events! I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a concentration in Special Events and Entertainment. I’ve also obtained a Wedding Coordination and Design Certificate from The International School of Hospitality.
My previous experiences include working at Mandalay Bay Hotel as a Wedding Coordinator and in food and beverage at the Four Seasons Hotel, Lake Las Vegas Resort, Southshore Golf Club, Wynn Las Vegas in Restaurant Events, and Anthem Country Club in catering. Other experience as a lead and background singer in a show and producer in a local band has also proven useful in designing and producing weddings and events.
