My now husband (!) and I hired Juliet Douglas of Green Orchid Events at the very beginning of our planning process, and I’m very happy we did!
We planned our Vegas wedding from afar, and knew we wanted someone who could help us from the start. Juliet is super organized, extremely fast with her responses (often responding to my emails within minutes!), and very thorough — definitely the type of person you want helping you with wedding planning!
She arranged site visits at several large hotels so that we were able to quickly and efficiently decide on a venue in one day! I spoke to many vendors on my own, before hiring her, who knew her. She is well established in the wedding biz in Vegas!
Throughout the planning process she was always happy to respond to my (very frequent, often lengthy) emails, and was happy to make suggestions. Knowing how familiar she is with wedding vendors in Vegas, I trusted her to refer me to the best vendors in each category, which made booking all of our main vendors super easy! She tried to pass along her vendor discounts when possible which was much appreciated!
She brought THREE assistants with her on the day of the wedding and all of them (Angelica, Katherine, Shanna) were super friendly and super helpful. Katherine stayed with me every step of the way on the wedding day, making sure I had everything I needed and even cleaning my dress when it got dirty!
I really debated about whether to hire a planner after we got engaged, but I would highly recommend it! And I would definitely recommend hiring a planner immediately, at the start of the planning process, as opposed to just day-of, especially if you are planning from afar, as we did. I would also recommend you hire Juliet Douglas from Green Orchid Events! She made the entire wedding planning process quite easy, and helped keep us organized and on track the whole time.

Juliet Douglas and Green Orchid Events supported us 125% on the day of our wedding. They were there to help us (the groom and me) feel comfortable and prepared, both before and during our wedding event. Juliet was extremely supportive of me in the months leading up to wedding, with extremely timely e-mail and voice responses, and she provided all types of advice and consultative services as I questioned ‘what to do / when to use which’ along the way. She recommended fabulous DJ, Photo, Make up and Floral Services, and endorsed other Westin-recommended Services with whom she had previously worked (Officiant, Wedding Harpist Entertainment) whose personnel were very professional and very nice and listened and responded to our needs. So she was fabulous and she had fabulous connections.

Angelica and Juliet are amazing people and wedding coordinators. I can’t express to them enough how much I appreciate everything they have done for me and our wedding. Our wedding day was seamless and easy because I knew they would handle everything. We were pressed for time to set up at the venue and they were coordinating a wedding in an unfamiliar state but they remained calm and professional throughout the entire process. The day flew by and it was amazing! We also worked together with vendor recommendations, transportation companies, hair & makeup teams, etc. Angelica and Juliet referred me to friends or companies they had worked with previously and that they trusted.
Wherever you choose to get married, a planner is a must. I would suggest Green Orchid Events every time whether you are getting married in Las Vegas or elsewhere. They are great at what they do and can assist you with your entire planning process.

Go hire Angelica the minute you find out you’re married. This woman is a godsend for any couple planning their wedding. If I could put more stars for responsiveness and flexibility I would. My wedding day wouldn’t have been so special and so perfect if it wasn’t for this woman and her amazing staff.
Angelica was with us from beginning to end and answered and and all questions we had along the way. While she maintained such a professional quality, she also became our friend and made it so easy to talk to her about stuff we were unsure about or wanted an opinion on.
We live in San Diego and decided to have a Vegas wedding. Having Angelica made it so easy. I remember waking up the day of our wedding with no real worries because I knew everything was going to be taken care of. She found us every vendor we needed and stayed on constant contact with them especially the days leading up to our big day. She called all the vendors, set up meeting, scheduled tastings, confirmed orders, double confirmed orders, helped me stay on top of payments, managed a budget, and even went out of her way to find sparklers just days before our wedding because I said it would be nice to have them for our grand exit.
I can’t say enough about her. SHE IS THE PERFECT WEDDING PLANNER.

Angelica coordinated our reception from beginning to end. Being an out of town bride & because I had most of the major details worked out, I just felt that we really needed some peace of mind in having somebody designated at our reception to ensure the room was set-up as we had hoped and that everything moved along on schedule and smoothly. My contact with Angelica began 1 month prior to my wedding and immediately contacted all of our vendors as soon as she received their info from me. She arrived to my hotel room the day of the wedding to collect all of the reception items and she and her assistant were waiting for us upon our arrival to offer us a drink and get us lined up for our entrance. At the end of the night, all of our items/keepsakes were given to the person I had designated to Angelica weeks prior.
Overall, this was one of the best decisions we made. Choosing Green Orchid to coordinate our reception offered peace of mind to a nervous out of town bride (and groom!). We would HIGHLY recommend them for any event!

Juliet has many strengths as a person and a planner. She is passionate about what she does, professional, organized, diligent, levelheaded, a realist, honest, and a bride’s advocate. I was one of the brides and actually one of those people who have a hard time speaking up for what I really want. Juliet was there to speak up for me. I believe this is a wonderful strength for those who need it. Juliet truly made the wedding and reception flow. She tried to keep with the timeline as best she could due to my tardiness. One of the things I was really worried about when I realized I was going to be very late was whether or not we were going to be able to do all of the things that we planned such as the ride on the yacht and the gondola. Juliet made it so all of these things could still happen. And again, these are some of the things that made the day unforgettable!

I would highly recommend hiring Juliet Douglas of Green Orchid Events to plan your event. Extremely detail oriented, personable, and efficient, she will work hard at making your event a success. Once she secured a venue for our dream wedding, she proceeded to interview several photographers, videographers, florist, djs, etc in order to help us narrow down our choices.
